Profile Data Form

The profile data form is used to create and manage all profiles of the application. Profiles control the access of users and groups to selections or buttons. The sub-lists informs about the selections protected by profiles and the users or groups a profile has been assigned to.

In the Profile Data form you can:

• create and manage all profiles
• choose selections/buttons to be protected by a profile
• display the users that have been assigned a profile
• display the groups that have been assigned a profile

The profile name uniquely identifies the profile object.

Profiles are used to protect certain selection/buttons. So mistakes by insufficiently qualified users or user groups can be prevented. The protection function of a profile is only effective if the following definitions are made:

• assign group profile or user profile (Group Data form / User Data form, field profile)
• assign selection profile for the selections/buttons to be protected (Selection Data form, sub-list Profile Assignment)
• active profile access for these selections/buttons (Selection Data form, field Access = p)
