LogiView

Introduction

LogiView is a Macro language for Agile e6 which can be used to customize all base functions according to your needs.

Users who want to customize the system with LogiView need either Manager access rights or have the profile EDB-LOGIVIEW-PROFIL assigned.

Note if the profile is assigned through a group, the user needs to make sure that the correct group is selected/active. The respective group is shown/can be selected in the toolbar.

More information on assigning profiles to users or groups can be found in the DataView documentation DTV User`s Guide > Users, Groups and Privileges

As an example, decision tables, procedures, and userexits are being used to check user input according to customizable rules for validity or implement programmed procedures that can be accessed via selection menus.

When creating decision tables and procedures, our Syntax Assistant provides help for the whole spectrum of the LogiView programming language. This enables even LogiView programming novices, to create error free-procedures in a short period of time. Another advantage of LogiView is runtime interpretation of created macros which helps to prevent time-consuming compiling and linking during development.

The following figure contains one of the LogiView main masks: the Logic models/Procedures form. It contains decision tables and procedures information of a logic model which can be added, modified and executed. As has been described in the Basic Concepts Manual, a list view is also available.
