Select Start > Classification > Classes. |

To change to insert mode click |

|
Enter the classification number CLS-1000
in the Class Code field. |
||||||||||||||||
|
Enter Bolts in the field. |
||||||||||||||||
|
When creating class hierarchies only the classes of the lowest level have a classification list. The classes above are so-called abstract classes. When creating these higher classes the checkbox in the form header needs to be activated. This checkbox represents an abstract class which can be used as a higher group in a class hierarchy. |

| Activate the checkbox to define the class as abstract. | ||||||||||||||||
| After the class is created the checkbox can be selected and deselected manually, as long as the class does not contain any subclasses. | ||||||||||||||||
| Select EDB-ARTICLE
from the Entity field. (If documents or projects are to be classified, select the corresponding entity. To do this, use the field selection menu.) |

Change to the context menu and switch to the list view. Find all entered
classification codes using the CLS%
search criterion for the
