CAX-Interface

This function opens the form CAX-Interface mask (System > Document Management > CAX Interface). It is used for several settings for CAD links.

• Overwrite when saving a file again
  This field is used to specify the access rights required to overwrite the old file.
  Different settings are possible; these settings concern the entries created in the document file assignment by means of the ECI:
  • Overwrite if 'w' right
    A file can be overwritten if the user has write privileges to the document master.
  • Overwrite if 'd' right
    A file can be overwritten if the user has delete privileges to the document master.
  • Parallel storing if 'w' right
    If a file is checked in with the same name, a second record is created in the document file assignment, if the user has write privileges to the document.
• Query history when calling eci_upd_ent/eci_upd_typ
  A checkmark in this field indicates if the history is to be queried when starting eci_upd_doc, eci_upd_ent, eci_upd_typ, eci_wri_ent, eci_wri_typ.
