How to Create a Baseline

	What to do:
	In order to work through this example you must have completed the example Set up a CM Project.
	A baseline is exclusively used to introduce a new product and record the original configuration as is planned.
	Select Start > Configuration Management > Configuration Control > Baselines. The Baseline mask is opened.
	To change to insert mode click .
	Click in the Project Number field. The Projects list is opened.
	Search for the CM project Project-01 and select it from the Projects list.
	Enter Baseline-01 in the Baseline Number field and Baseline for Ball Pen Deluxe in the Baseline Title field.
	Click in the BL Type field and select PHYSICAL from the selection menu.
	To save the entry click .
	The following result will be displayed in the message window.
	Please note that when creating a baseline a default work set is automatically created as well. The work set is displayed in the Sets tab of the Baseline mask as follows:
	The baseline contains all approved/released items and documents representing the configuration for a set of products (models + units) at a specific point in time.
