| In order to work through this example, you must have created a new item ART-1250 Ornamental Gold Ring with the work request EWR-1250 and completed the examples Creating a new Item Structure Relation (BOM) referencing a Set and Defining affected Objects of a Work Request BOM. Furthermore, you must have set the items and the item structure relations of the BoM to the state 220 | Approved. | |
| In this example the change operation is to replace the existing ART-1200 Ornamental Ring with ART-1250 Ornamental Gold Ring. | |
| Select .
The mask is opened. |

| Search for the item ART-1000. | |
| Select the tab. | |
| Activate work set 10 from the mask and click the button. | |
| Please note that when completing the work set the items of the BoM will be released.. | |
| Enter a date for the validity range of work set 10. | |

| In the tab highlight the item structure relation of ART-1200 and select from the context menu. | |

| In the first table of the mask select the checkbox. The parent item ART-1000 is marked as an affected item of the change operation. |

| Change to the field of the bottom table and click An list is opened, displaying eligible items for the replacement of the existing one. |

| In the tab change operations are displayed in a hierarchical structure, reflecting the real structure of a BOM. It is possible to group the change operations according to individual preferences. | |
| Please note that change operations (except "Withdraw") can only be canceled if the window of the new item in the table is activated. To activate the item it is sufficient to click in the window! |
