When creating a new object in a formal process, a work request / work order to be referenced has to be created first. In a formal process it is required to further specify the work request / work order. In order to work through this example you must have created a new work request with the following data:
| Open work request EWR-1550.
The mask is opened. |
| Select the tab. | |||||||||
To change to insert mode click |

| Select from the selection menu. | |||||||||
To save the entries click
| The creation of a new item is defined as a change operation of the work request EWR-1500. | |||||||||
| Please note that with the change operation Create it is not possible to insert Specification to the field since this entry is not supported by the system! | |||||||||
| Highlight the change operation Create
and click the button. The change operation can be deleted by clicking the button. |
| An Item mask is opened to create a new item. | |||||||||
| In the field enter ART-1460. | |||||||||
| In the field enter the name Blue Ink. | |||||||||
| The work request EWR-1550 is set automatically in the field. | |||||||||
To save the entries click
The item ART-1460-Blue Ink has been created and the change operation Add is added to the column. |
| Please note that the change operation can only be undone if the change operation has been undone before. | |||||||||
| When applying the formal process to create a new object, two change operations (and ) will be displayed in the tab. In contrast to the formal process, only one change operation () will be displayed in the tab when applying the ad-hoc process. Since in the ad-hoc process an object is directly created from the corresponding object mask there is no need to further specify the change operation () of a work request in form of a second change operation ()! |
