How to Create a BOM

 

What to do:
To work through this example, you first must have completed the example "Creating an Item"!
Item Management.
Select Start > Items.
The Item mask is opened.
Search for ART-1000 Ballpen.
Select the BOM tab.
To change to insert mode click .
Click in the Item Number field.
The Items list is opened.
Select ART-1100 Lower Part from the Items list.
10. To save the entry click .
11. Repeat steps 4 - 7 and enter the following values:
 
Item No. Name
ART-1200 Ornamental Ring
ART-1300 Spring
ART-1400 Mine
ART-1500 Upper Part
 
12. Search for ART-1500 Upper Part and create a BOM structure.

Repeat steps 3 - 7 and enter the following values:

Item No. Name
ART-1510 Jumper Ring
ART-1520 Switch Crest
ART-1530 Push Button
ART-1540 Clip
12. Search for ART-1540 Clip and create a BOM structure.

Repeat steps 3-7 and enter the following values:

Item No. Name
ART-1541 Clip Top
ART-1542 Clip Spring
ART-1543 Clip Ring
  When clicking the Multi-Level Structure tab of item ART-1000 Ball Pen the multi-level structure will be displayed as follows:
