How to Assign an Item to an Application

	What to do:
	In order to work through this example, you must have completed the example Creating an Application and must have created the item "Driver Seat" with the number ITM-01315.
	Select Start > Products> Product Usage> Applications. The Applications mask is opened.
	Find the application App-001.
	*Click on the Items* tab.**
	To change to insert mode click .
	Change to the Item Number field and click . The item list is opened.
	Find the item Driver Seat with the item no. ITM-01315.
	Highlight the corresponding line and select Take entry from the context menu.
	In the Position-ID field enter the position number 1. If no position number is entered, the item will be assigned to a position number automatically.
	To save the entries click .
	The item ITM-01315 Driver Seat is assigned to the application App-001.
	The assignment of item and application can only be released if the application is set to the state "230 - approved" and the item is set to the state "220 - approved" or to "230 - released".
