How to Assign an External to an Internal Item

	What to do:
	To work through this example, you must have completed the example Create an Item.
	Select Start > Items. The Item mask is opened.
	To change to insert mode click .
	Create a new item with the name Jumper Ring and the item number EXT-1510. This type of numbering is used to show up the external nomenclature of this project, which is put in relation to the company-internal number assignment system.
	Search for Jumper Ring with the item number ART-1510.
	Select the External Item tab.
	To change to insert mode click .
	Click in the Item Number field . The Items mask is opened.
	Select EXT-1510 from the list.
	To save the entry click .

	The external item EXT-1510 Jumper Ring* is now assigned to the internal item ART-1510 Jumper Ring.*
	External items can be assigned to internal items and vice versa.
