LogiView

How to Display the Usage of Variables

What to do:

As a prerequisite for this example, you should have followed the previous examples, i.e. you must have created either the DocuDT decision table or the DocuProcedure.

Open the Variables-List from the Manager > Macro > LogiView > Declarations > Variables menu.

  The Variables-List is displayed.

Switch to Query mode and search for DOCU%.

Highlight the DOCU_INT_1 variable.

Select the Usage options from the context menu.

A list of decision tables / procedures containing the DOCU_INT_1 variable is generated.

When calling this function for the first time after creating or updating a decision table / procedure, a mask is displayed reminding you that the decision table / procedure has been modified. Once you have confirmed this message, the list is generated or updated. This may take several minutes since all available decision tables and procedures need to be checked.

In this example, the DOCU_INT_1 variable is used in the DocuDT decision table and in the DocuProcedure of the DocuLogicModel. In both cases, the variable has been assigned to the logic model (can be seen from the symbol in the Logic model column).

System and Procedure are short for variables assigned to either the system or a decision table / procedure.

It is possible to search for use on all levels (system, logic model, decision table). However, you may limit the search to only one level. This is done via the System assignment, Logic model assig., DT-Assignment menu options, where DT is short for decision table and procedures.
