Number Server

How to Combine Several Defined Variants within a Field

What to do:

As a prerequisite to this example, you need to work through the example Integration of a number server.
Open the Mask Data from the context menu (right-click the desktop) Open > System > Masks or click the button .
Find the mask EDB-ART-CFR.
Click the tab Field Default.
Click the entry T_MASTER_DAT.PART_ID and click the button .
Change to the Default Value-M field and enter #ART-NR-1##ART-NR-3.

Note: There are 2 #s in the center part! Hash signs (#) act like brackets. The first hash sign defines the start of an enumeration circle, the second hash sign defines its end. A third hash sign would start a new enumeration circle etc. If you only use one hash sign in the center section, the following enumeration circle will be displayed as a fixed text.

Save the entry with the button .
Click the button Reconfigure at the top of the mask.
Call up the Item mask and create a few records.
When combining variants, both variants are incremented simultaneously.
