LogiView

1-2-3 Key Features

The following basic features are available from the LogiView module Manager > Macro > LogiView menu in addition to standard functions for the creation and modification of decision tables and procedures:

Declaration of variables (on a system, logic model, decision table/procedural level).

Menu: Manager > Macro > LogiView > Declarations > Variables

Variable must be declared in the LogiView Variables mask.

Use the Usage select function to search for decision tables / procedures containing the selected variable. Additionally, it will be displayed if the variable is a system, logic model or decision table / procedure variable.

Before using a variable it must be assigned to a logic model or a decision table / procedure.

Key Terms: Variables

Declaration of Constants

Menu: Manager > Macro > LogiView > Declarations > Constants

All constants are defined in this mask. Unlike variables, the constants declared in this menu are available throughout the whole system, i.e. you don't need to assign them explicitly.

Selection of Application

Menu: Manager > Macro > LogiView > Usage

Use this list to define the application which can be set in the Application (App) Selection menu, in the Logic Models/Procedures form.

LogiView Setup

Menu: Manager > Macro > LogiView > Setup...

All settings that are required for the development of LogiView decision tables and procedures can be accessed in this mask. These settings comprise:

  • trace output
  • load rules
  • debug mode

Trace Output

In this menu, you may toggle the trace log and if enabled, if new lines are to be added (Append) or if the previous log is to be overwritten (Overwrite). Default value: OFF

Load Rules

This selection toggles if decision tables / procedures are updated immediately (After each modification) or only when a decision table / procedure is no longer accessible in the main memory (Once). Default value: Once

During the development of a decision table / procedure, the After each modification selection may be the better choice. Otherwise the only one version of a decision table / procedure will be used throughout a test; changes will not be taken into account.

Debug mode

This selection toggles the LogiView decision table / procedure debug mode (On). Lines in decision tables / procedures that are marked by a "D" in the comment row, are only processed in debug mode. Default value: Off

When working in debug mode, the trace file is not deleted when closing Agile e6.

Display Trace Log

Menu: Manager > Macro > LogiView > Trace protocol

Use this function to display the trace log if the trace function has been enabled (menu: Manager > Macro > LogiView > Setup...).
