How to Create a new Object (ad-hoc process) referencing a Set

What to do:

When creating a new object in an ad-hoc process the creation is directly performed on the object and not via the corresponding work order. As a prerequisite for this example you must have created the work order EWR-1500.
Select Start > Items.
The Item mask is opened.

To change to insert mode click .

In the Item Number field enter a new item with the No. ART-1450.
In the Name field enter the name Green Ink.
Change to the Work Order field and click .
Choose the work order EWR-1500 from the selection menu.

To save the entries click .

The new item ART-1450 has been created with a reference to the work order / work set EWR-1500.

A new change operation of the referenced work order/work set is automatically associated with the new item. The change operation is displayed in the Change Operations tab of the work order EWR-1500.

Please note, that a new item can only be created when the referenced work set is in state 110 | In Work.
Preliminary objects are not displayed if either the parameter EDB-CRM-CHECK-PRELIMINARY (System > Other Parameters) is set to OFF or if the setting "Show Preliminary Records" of the View Filter (View > Filter > View) is deactivated. Nevertheless, the system will display newly created objects as preliminary objects if the preliminary flag is deactivated in the View Filter settings but the parameter EDB-CRM-CHECK-PRELIMINARY is activated. Since the View Filter settings are stored as userspecific default values by the software, the deactivation of the preliminary flag in the View Filter settings would prevent the user from seeing the newly created objects. Setting the system configuration parameter EDB-CRM-CHECK-Preliminary to ON will make sure that newly created (preliminary) objects are displayed by the system, independently from the View Filter settings.
