*About the modal window

The modal window is a special selection tool at the field and is used in DataView system masks to select child objects when creating relations. If you want to create a mask-field relation in the Field Assignment sub list of the Mask Data system form, you will have to insert a new relation recalled into the sub list first and select the desired field object in the field Field Name. To do so you open the modal window. It contains the system master list of the field objects. This list will be in query mode. You can immediately search the desired field and, after you've found it, take it into the calling mask. You can import it by selecting it and then activating Import Entry in the context menu. Then the modal window will automatically close.

Note! In modal windows several records can be selected, for instance in order to edit them all at once in a comfortable way. If, immediately after that, the calling mask is taken over, DataView will only use the first selected record.
