Selection Menus

Selection menus show a list of of predefined entries and are available for certain fields in insert mode. Selection menus ensure that only one of the predefined choices may be entered into a field - the manual entry of data is not allowed. The availability of a selection menu is indicated by the presence of an arrow () at the right edge of the field. The arrow can either open a Selection Menu or a Selection List.

In select menus, if no checkstring is defined for the respective field, a table combobox is activated. By typing the first letter(s) or number(s) of an entry in the select menu, the table combobox lists all available entries. The popup can be moved by dragging the gripper at the top. If the popup is too small to display all entries, a resize corner and a scrollbar are available in the table combobox.

Selection Menu

To select an entry for a field (e.g. Unit field):

  1. Click .
    A select menu is opened.
  2. Select an entry.
    The selection is copied into the Category field.

Selection List

To select an entry for a field (e.g. Item Number field):

  1. Click .
    A select list is opened.
  2. Select an item in the list and in the context menu select Take entry.
    The entry is copied into the Item Number field.
