Assign Specific Licenses to Users

  AutoVue Integration supports licensing restrictions. This allows you to grant licenses to only users that need them.
  AutoVue Integration provides 4 different license classes:
• Office (Microsoft Office)
• 2D (2D documents)
• 3D (3D documents)
• EDA (Electronic Design Automation)
  The variable PVM-ALW-CLS defines which license permissions to give a user.
You must restart the AutoVue Integration for license permissions to take effect.

To open the default data overview list click .

The Default Data tab opens.

To search for the variable PVM-ALW-CLS, click in the Default Data tab.
Enter PVM-ALW-CLS in the Variable Name column and click .
The Default Data list with a list of default variables opens.
 
In this scenario there is only one variable. You will only see PVM-ALW-CLS!
Out-of-the-box the default User value for PVM-ALW-CLS is GLOBAL. That is, all users in the system have access to all licenses. You must manually define the licence(s) for each user.
To give a particular user license right click .
Enter PVM-ALW-CLS in the Variable Name column.
In the User column select the person who you want to grant licensing rights to.
 
In the Type column select S --> String.
In the Value column enter the licenses you want to give the user.
Click the to save your changes in the database.
 
To give more users licenses repeat steps 5-10.
