The
default data list is used to create and manage all default variables of the
application. Each default variable can be assigned a user-specific value.
The default variables for DataView itself belong to the user SYSTEM and are displayed in the default list. These default records cannot be deleted and are automatically also effective in the application. If a different value is to be assigned to such a default value, this is only possible by copying the record to another user (e.g. user GLOBAL). The original default value will then not be available to the new user in the application any longer.

The default variable can be assigned a user-specific value. Selecting the user GLOBAL means, that the variable is available for all users.

When the default variable is used, the value entered here will be assigned. The value must be type compatible (field type).
Reconfigure
Newly created or modified default variable must be updated in main memory before they become effective for the application. Alternatively DataView can be restarted.
