Item Management

How to Change the Item Status

What to do:

To work through this example, you must have completed the example Create an Item.
Select Start > Items.
The Item mask is opened.
Search for ART-1541 Clip Top.

Select Organization > Status > Show in the context menu.
The message window displays the current state, possible states to change to, and groups which can undergo a status change:

Check the current status in the State field. In our example it should be 120 - In Approval.
Select Organization > Status > Change in the context menu.
A selection menu is opened. Only the possible status changes are displayed.

The displayed states depend on the group they belong to. If the status change is not possible or the desired entries are not displayed, make sure that you are in the correct group. Change the group if necessary.

Select the new status 230 | Released.

If the Digital signature function is used, the item is also signed when this status is set. Refer to chapter Sign an Item for a detailed description.

When the status 230-Released has been set, a mask is opened which can be used to enter the validity period.
Enter a date in the Valid Until field and click OK.

An item with a subordinate Bill of Material can only be changed to the status 230 - Released when all subordinate items have reached the 230 - Released status.

Repeat steps 3 to 6 and change the status of the following items to 230-Released:
