How to Derive an Order with Default Variant

What to do:

Note In order to work through this example, you must have completed the examples Delete the Derived Structure of an Order (if you have already derived an order) and Assign a Variant Wildcard to a Default Variant.

Select Start > Orders > Orders.

Select the order ORD-1000-B EP Ball Pen.

Select the tab Positions with the left mouse button.

Select the item ART-1000-B EP Ball Pen.

Select Derive order spec. structure from the context menu.
Now, the order is derived, i.e. an order-specific bill of material is created which takes account of variant wildcards and optional items (if appropriate).

Note If you have not created default variants or optional items, Agile e6 displays additional queries. If this is the case, select the appropriate example.
Before the structure can be derived completely, Agile e6 requests to select a variant. For this purpose, Agile e6 displays the appropriate Selection of Default Variant mask.

Click the button .
The list of default variants is opened.

In the list, click the default variant Deluxe Model.

Note If you do not wish to select a default variant, click the button OK. Then all items for the variant wildcard are displayed for selection.

Agile e6 automatically enters Deluxe Model in the field.

Accept the selection by pressing OK.

The Variant form ..., mask appears, displaying only those items assigned to the default variant.

In the selection mask, select the ART-1200-A Ornamental Ring (silver).

Note

The variant is now added to the structure, and the structure derivation is completed.
