The mask (>
> ) is used to define the tabs which should be displayed
in the browser window. The name, the top-level-icon, the structure,
etc. of a tab are specifically defined in here. Each tab is defined
separately.
If too many tabs have to be displayed, the browser window will organize
them in multiple rows to avoid scrolling.
The field is a multi-lingual field.
More than one language can be set up for it. In order to show the new
language, the system has to be restarted.

General Tab
|
|
 |
|
Field |
Description |
Name |
Name of the Browser Configuration entry. |
User flag |
It is possible to define specific views with the same name for
different users/groups. |
Group/User |
Shows the current user name. |
Active |
- |
Explorer |
Activates or deactivated this browser tab. |
Close |
Defines if a tab can be closed separately or not. When activated,
the close tab option (X in the lower right corner) is activated. |
Title |
Title of the tab in the browser. |
Icon |
A bitmap can be selected to be shown as top level icon in the
browser (e.g. ). |
Flyout Fields |
A list of fields, separated by a comma. They are used as flyout
indicator. |
Preselection |
A userexit that can be directly defined by field names and their
values, using a LogiView or C userexit.
Search condition for the data to be displayed.
|
Pres. Parameter |
For further information please refer to the DataView > DTV
User's Guide > The Graphical Browser > Comfortable Brower
Configuration for Agile e6 documentation. |
Drop Function |
Controls the drop behavior in this tab. |
Menu Function |
This function will be called at a menu creation time. The browser
structure can be modified again.
We recommend only experts should use this function! |
|
 |
When opening the
mask the first time, by default only those entries are shown that are
displayed in the browser (the checkbox
is selected). Clicking the refresh button, will show all other entries
except those entries that are displayed in the browser. To be able to
show all possible entries, the search function has to be used and the
checkbox has to be set to undefined
( ). |
|
Structure Tab
|
|
The entries for each tab and their structure are specifically defined
in the tab.

|
|
Column |
Entry |
Description |
Structure object type |
D (Data entries) |
The immediate following item is data (no folder). |
|
H (Hierarchy Element Structure) |
The next structure level is opened when clicking the
+ beside the entry. |
|
N (No select menu entry) |
Defines the context menu that is opened when clicking
on a main entry (not on the included data). |
|
S (Select Menu entry) |
Defines the context menu that is opened when clicking
on the included data. |
Relation type |
I (Indirect Relation) |
Node elements can only be seen after opening the node.
When deselecting the flag
in the browser, the node will disappear. |
|
D (Direct Relation) |
Node elements are shown directly. |
|
F (Fix entry (always visible)) |
Similar to Indirect Relation. When deselecting the
flag in the browser, the
node will not disappear. |
|
N (No relation) |
No relation. |
|
 |
Only when the objects in the browser
are configured as Indirect Relations, the Relation flag in the Browser
works. |
|
 |
For structure elements direct relations
make no sense, because structure elements have no data. Indirect
or fix relations can be used. |
Userexit |
e.g. iwf_lis_exp |
Defined userexit for the relation. |
|
 |
For structure elements this userexit in connection
with @EXPLORER has to be used.
For data elements it is strongly recommended to
use this userexit with parameter in form <userexit>:<parameter>
(without the brackets).
|
Userexit Parameter |
@EXPLORER...
... |
The parameter @EXPLORER has to be added to the userexit
for structure elements. It calls the browser and its data is read
from the entity EDB-EXPLORER.
For data elements the userexit parameter can be defined by a new
userexit. |
Name |
e.g. FAVORITE |
Opens the browser configuration for this entry. |
Title |
e.g. Favorites |
Title of the subfolder in the tab. |
Spec. title |
e.g. myProjects |
Own title of respective structure element in the browser. |
|
|
More information regarding the iwf_... userexits can be found in the
DataView documentation.

Open the Browser Configuration Mask for a Structure Entry |
|
In the tab when clicking on
the link in the field, the mask for the respective entry is opened. This entry
is defined in here.
|
|

In the tab is defined what
mask (default mask) should be opened for displaying the contents in
the browser.
In the column the special
title / text for the selections are defined.
|
 |
Every time a record is stored as favorite or as stored
query, a new entry is stored in the respective window in the
tab. Each new stored entry gets the position number 500. |
|
Define Maximum Number of Entries of one Object Type
|
|
In the mask of the respective
userexit parameter it is possible to define a maximum number for the
entries of one object type (e.g. number of item entries in the
tab).
