Web Client

Customizing the Browser

The Browser is an area of the Web Client window that provides three standard views of repository objects within a tree structure. Users can click tabs at the bottom of the Browser to switch between the views. In the Global view, users can work with a persistent, site-wide view of standard and user-defined object types, which are displayed as folders at the top level of the tree.

To customize the Browser, you use the Java Client to edit records in the list for the Internal Structure Browser. You can make the following changes:

  • Rename views
  • Add, modify, and delete folders in the Global view

What to do:

Log into the Agile e6 Java Client as a user who has sufficient access rights to modify EDBKERNEL records.

Click Manager > Configure System > Internal Structure Browser.

In the Browser Configuration list (DTV-BRW-CFG-SLI), edit records used by the Web Client.

To display only records used by the Web Client, search for "WEB%" in the Code key field (DTV-BROWSER.FLG), which the Web Client uses to determine what to display in the Browser. In each of the four record types used by the Web Client, the text in the Code field begins with "WEB" (WEB-TITLE, WEB, WEB-VIEW-STRUCTURE and WEB-VIEW-RELATION).
