How to Assign an Object to an additional Organizational Unit

What to do:

To work through this example you must have completed the example Assign a new Object to the current/active Organizational Unit and you must have created the organizational unit Europe Marketing as a subordinate organizational unit of Marketing. Furthermore, you must have assigned the NA Marketing Specialist to Europe Marketing via a job function.
You must be logged in as NA Marketing Specialist with the current organizational unit NA Marketing.
Select Start > Organizations > Companies/Departments.
Search for the organizational unit NA Marketing.
Click the Documents tab.
The documents assigned to NA Marketing are displayed.

Highlight D4 and select References > Assign to additional project/organization from the context menu.
The Companies/departments list is opened.
Click to display the available companies/departments.

Since the listed companies/departments depend on the "Organizational units to display" filter setting, make sure you have the checkboxes activated for all the organizational units!
Select Europe Marketing from the Companies/Departments list.
Document D4 Marketing Strategy is assigned to the additional organizational unit Europe Marketing.

It is also possible to assign D4 Marketing Strategy to an additional organizational unit via the corresponding document mask.
Please note that the user Europe Marketing Specialist has now access to this document due to the additional assignment!
It is only possible to assign an object to an additional organizational unit if the user is assigned to the organizational unit via a job function and if this organizational unit is activated for display!
When assigning an object to an additional organizational unit, all subordinate objects of this object will be assigned to the additional organizational unit as well!
