How to Check-out a File

 

What to do:

Select an office file in the Browser and in the context menu click Check-out.

Click Yes.

 

Click OK.

A copy of the file will be saved to hard disk. The file is reserved for the current user and therefore, an entry will be made in the My Workplace tab in the Reserved Documents with Files folder.
It the file should not be copied into the officesuite folder, click No in step 2. A save file window is opened. The file can now be saved anywhere on the hard disk.
