File Replication
Configuration of replication modes
The File Replication supports the following replication modes:
- Online
A replication order is initiated immediately. All missing or obsolescent files
are transferred from the local vault of their original distributed sites and
are then stored in the vault of the recipient site.
- Batch
The replication order is carried out at a later time specified in the batch
process configuration. All missing or obsolescent files are transferred from
the local vault of their original distributed sites and are then stored in
the vault of the recipient site.
For both modes replication orders are generated. For
online mode the generated replication order is execute immediately and synchronously.
The start time of a batch process replication depends on 2 criteria:
- Time defined in scheduling system of your operating system to start the
program to execute replication orders
- Start time defined in replication order itself
After the scheduling system have started the axalant DFM replication program
the program check the start time of the orders . Only orders with a defined
status and a start time older then the actual date will be executed.
