Companies and Persons is divided into the companies/departments module and the persons module.

Company/Department Management

Company data such as address and department information of a company is entered in the Company and Department Management module. The enterprise structure is represented in the company management module by means of company data management and department references.

Employee management is done using person references in the Person Management module. Persons can be assigned to a company or department as employees or contacts. Using the Further Person function of the Company Management module, new persons can be added. Persons created this way are automatically assigned to the current company.

Person Management Module

Person Management module records contain business contact data and additional/home addresses, e-mail addresses, etc. Additionally, a list of employees/contacts assigned to a specific company/department can be displayed.

e-mails can be sent directly from within the Person Management module if an e-mail address has been specified for the contact. The Mail to person function enables you to automatically run the current e-mail client installed on the client computer. All required record entries of the person (such as their e-mail address) are taken directly from the Person Management module. The Mail to Person function is only available in the list of persons.

Relationship Types

Records (i.e. information) can be referenced to companies, departments, or persons from other modules. The relationship type determines the type of relationship (e.g. edited by, owner, etc.) between the record and the company, department, or person. Such references can be used to visualize the relationships between companies/departments/persons on the one hand and products and documents on the other. Responsibilities with regard to the production, control, or ordering of products can be determined much faster and easier this way. References can be displayed from all involved modules. E.g. the reference between an item and a person can be displayed both from the item mask and the person mask.

When a user is assigned to an organization unit via the Staff Member tab of the Company/Department mask, a job function is automatically created by the system.

Index bar

The masks Person and Company/Department can be opened with the alphabetic index bar, so that only person or company name with the respective letter is opened. Using the character % loads all persons/companies/departments.
