How to Correct / Modify a Change Operation

What to do:

In order to work through this example, you must have completed the example Performing a Change Operation on an Item Structure Relation referencing a Set.
Select Start > Items.
The Item mask is opened.

Search for the item ART-1000.

Select the BOM tab.
Change the state of the item ART-1250 to 220 | Approved.
Change the state of the item structure relation of ART-1250 to 220 | Approved.
Complete the work set of the work order EWR-1250.
Highlight the item structure relation of ART-1250 and select Change Management > Correct from the context menu.

The Correct mask is opened.

In the first table of the Correct mask select the checkbox.
The parent item ART-1000 is marked as an affected item of the correction.
Change to the Item Number field of the bottom table and click .
An Items list is opened, displaying eligible items for the correction of ART-1250.
Select the item ART-1200 Ornamental Ring.
To confirm click OK.

The item structure relation of ART-1250 has been corrected with the item structure relation of ART-1200.
The corrected item structure relation of ART-1250 is automatically assigned to a separate Work Set. The effectivity data of the corrected item structure relation (valid from) is identical to the effectivity data (valid until) of the incorrect item structure relation. Furthermore, the valid from and valid until data of the incorrect item structure relation are set to the same date, reducing the effectivity period to "0".When the corrected item structure relation is stored, it is automatically released and cannot be corrected another time.
The modification of an item structure relation basically follows the same steps as described above but choose Change Management > Modify from the context menu.
When executing the change operation Modify, it is not possible to change items like in the Replace 1:1 operation. Since the modification aims at changing attributes like Quantity or Unit, the result of a Modify operation is merely a new item structure relation with changed attributes.
Certain change operations (e.g. Modify) can be specified again if the related objects or relations are not released yet.
