How to Select and Display Objects with their Structure assigned to a Folder

What to do:

OK

To work through this example first complete the example Create a Folder. You must further create an item with a multilevel BOM structure and assign it to Folder / 9.

In the example the item is the product ART-1000 Ball Pen.
OK Open the folder Folder / 9.
On the Folder / 9 mask select Contents > Tabular from the context menu.

ART-1000 Ball Pen is displayed in the Content of folder table.

There are three different functions available to select single objects of product ART-1000 Ball Pen and display their structure.
Highlight ART-1000 and select one of the following functions from the context menu:

1. Explode single level

Displays all items assigned directly to the item ART-1000 Ball Pen.

2. Single level expand

Displays the item ART-1000 Ball Pen and all items assigned directly to this item.

3. Multilevel expand

All items the product ART-1000 Ball Pen consists of are displayed through all hierarchy levels.

OK When executing these functions, all items displayed in the Content of folder list are automatically copied to the Items tab of Folder / 9. In the Items tab the items are displayed in the same order as in the Content of folder list but don't include any structure information.
Objects that are listed twice or several times in the Content of folder list can be reduced to one entry by selecting Make unique from the context menu.
