Digital Signature

Import a private key from a private exchange file

Requirement for this example is that configuration parameter has been set in the list mask Configuration and the user Sample was created with the following information.

You also need the private exchange file sample.p12 (This file contains the private as well as the public key. The file can be found in the Agile e6 environment in the directory "... unsup30/cer"

Select Manager > Digital Signature > Administration.
The Digital Signature Administration mask is opened.

2 Select the Keys tab.

If you have already entered the user in the Keys list, then you may use one of the letter buttons on the top edge of the mask to call up the user data (The system searches the first letter in the field name, i.e. S%). Then you may continue with step 10.

Switch to the insert mode with the button .

Switch to the field User id.

Click on the button .
The Key list is opened.

Use the search function to display the data for user DEMOEP.

Highlight the entry.

Select Use Entry from the context menu.
The list closes and the entry is used.

Enter in the field Description User for Documentation.

Save the entry with the button .

Hinweis

The field State is automatically filled in by the system and cannot be changed.

Highlight the entry.

Select Import private exchange file from the context menu.
A file selection window is opened.

Select the private exchange file sample.p12 and click on open.
A read-out window is opened.

Enter the password sample and click OK.
A second read-out window is opened.

Enter the new password documentation and click OK.
A third read-out window is opened.

Enter the new password documentation again and click OK.
The select window closes and the chosen certificate is assigned to the user.

The user must enter this new password and change it the first time he signs!
