The
user data form is used to create and manage all users of the application. The
sub-list informs about the membership of users to groups. Group user attributes
can be modified.

The user name can also be changed after it has been created, without having to adjust the privilege setting. For privilege management only the identification code is used (field Ident code).

The identification code uniquely describes the user object.
The identification code is automatically assigned by DataView, but can be changed during creation (five digits possible). After storing this is not possible any more.

Only names of existing profiles can be entered or selected in the menu.
The profile is used to protect the selections/buttons when they are accessed by the user. The protection function of the profile is only effective if the following definitions are specified in addition to the user profile assignment:
If no user profile has been defined, the user will inherit the profile of his defined default group after DataView has been started.

Inactive flag

With the Inactive flag a user can be set inactive, so user is no longer able to login.

With the manager flag a user can be assigned manager privileges. He will then be able to edit all data of the application, irrespective of the owner Id he has.

For the basic Agile e6 password, the entry is automatically generated by DataView if a password is set for the user. (-> toolbar, change password / in mask User > context menu Set Password). Please be aware that the field Password Encryption is read-only.

In this field you can check how often a the DataView login of a user has failed because of a wrong password. After a successful login DataView sets the value to zero.
