Administrator privileges are required to configure the effectivity of objects or relations!
The Change Management needs several configuration
settings which are specific for the objects or relations that are controlled.
In order to provide a flexible configuration of the change management, every
individual object owns its change management level. The following levels
are available:
|
|||||||||||||||

When choosing level 1, the effectivity for each object or relation is defined individually. When choosing level 2 or 3, the effectivity of an object or relation is controlled by the corresponding Work Order/Work Set.

Copy with Structure operation: Relation objects with Change Management Level 0 and 1 only support the ADD operation. This means that relation objects are copied to the new parent, but are not added to the current Work Set. Thus, when performing an Undo of the Copy with Structure operation, a manual cleanup of the unmanaged relation objects is necessary.

The graphic above depicts the effectivity configuration for a BOM with the following settings:
|
|||||||||||||||
The change management level 3 indicates that a BOM is subject to the change management when being created. This implies that the effectivity is controlled by a corresponding Work Oder/Work Set.

If a BOM is configured to be subject to the change management, a single article must also be configured to be under the control of the change management. Otherwise the system will output an error message.

If the change management level (control level) of a structure is "1" and the "Allow duplicates" tickbox is activated, then it is possible to manually create objects with an identical position number.
