When a message is called, DataView writes the message text in the messages window at the lower border of the screen.
The text can contain up to three place-holders in the form %s. When a message is called via the standard userexit mes_usx, strings can be passed to these place-holders that will appear in the message text instead of the place-holders.
If you output messages using the function mes_prm in Windows-compliant message windows containing a request, you can specify after the text separated by square brackets which button is to receive the focus in the message window (default button). Possible button shortcuts in the brackets are YES, NO, OK or CANCEL.
