Upgrade from 2.1 to 2.3.1 By upgrading the File Server 3.0 and by using an old File Server vault, all files in a new File Server vault must have the permission right 600 (-rw-----). This permission right has to be set for all old files in the old File Server vaults to use them with the new one.
Usage of multiple IP - interfaces On usage of multiple IP - interfaces, the environment variable EDB_CHOST has to be set to the IP address of the Agile e6 server which should be used for the communication between the Agile e6 server and the File Server client.
Force usage of multiple IP - interfaces The environment variable EDB_CHOST_FORCE has to be set to force the usage of the environment variable EDB_CHOST.
Timeout for Agile e6<-> File Server client connection

The Agile EDM default FMS_TIMEOUT can be set to set the timeout value of the Agile e6 <-> File Server client connection.

Restricted FMS client on Agile EDM server

The xfile interface supports check-in / check-out operations on the Agile EDM server. The access of this operations is restricted. Only server paths are allowed which have been defined via configuration parameter EDB-FMS-ALLOWED-PATHS.

The Windows "C:\temp" directory (EDB-FMS-WIN-TMP-DIR) and the UNIX "/tmp" directory (EDB-FMS-UNIX-TMP-DIR) are predefined. The configuration parameters define the "root" directories. The user has access to the directory and to all the subdirectories of the defined directory.
