How to Assign an Object to a different Organizational Unit

 

What to do:

In order to work through this example you must have completed the example Assign a new Object to the current/active Organizational Unit.
Search for the document D4 Marketing Strategy.
On the Document mask select References > Assign to different project/organization from the context menu.
The Companies/Departments list is opened.
Click to display the available companies/departments.
 
Select Europe Marketing from the Companies/Departments list.
The document D4 Marketing Strategy is assigned to the organizational unit Europe Marketing. The organizational unit this document is assigned to is displayed in the Companies tab of the Document mask.
 
Please note that the previous object-organizational unit assignment is deleted!
Due to the new object-organizational unit assignment the access to objects may change accordingly!
When assigning an object to a different organizational unit, all subordinate objects of this object will be assigned to the different organizational unit as well!
 

The assignment of an object to a different organizational unit can also be executed via the corresponding object tab in the Companies/Departments mask.
