Why Learn It? Glossary

ADF Task Flows, Part 1

Aim

In this module, you learn essentials about ADF task flows. You learn:

  • How bounded and unbounded task flows differ
  • The types of activities that task flows contain and how those activities control the flow of the application
  • How to declaratively specify exception handling within a task flow

You also see a series of related demonstrations that show you how to:

  • Configure a project to use the ADF Controller
  • Create bounded and unbounded task flows
  • Create task flow templates
  • Build and configure a train
  • Define access restrictions for bounded task flows

After completing this module you should be able to:

  • Explain the purpose of a task flow
  • Describe the difference between bounded and unbounded task flows and provide examples of when you would use them
  • Specify exception handling within a task flow
  • Create unbounded and bounded task flows
  • Build and configure a train
