ADF Bindings, Part 1

Aim

This module provides an introduction to the ADF binding layer and the metadata that backs it. Specifically, this module covers the following concepts:

• Data controls and how they work with the binding layer to bind data services to visual UI components
• The data binding layer and the various types of bindings that are available (for example, attribute, table, list, and action)
• The files that are involved in the binding layer
  

After completing this module you should be able to:

• Describe the difference between data controls and data bindings
• List the types of sources that can be used as data controls
• Identify the files that are involved in the binding layer and describe what they contain
