If the templates that are installed with JFR do not meet your requirements, you can modify them.
To modify an existing template:
In the JVM Browser, right-click the running JRockit that you want to record to open the context menu.
From the context menu, select Start Flight Recording.
The Flight Recorder Wizard appears.
Click the drop-down control next to Templates and select the template you want to modify.
Click Advanced.
The Templates Setting dialog box appears. The dialog box is divided into two panels and a column of buttons on the right. The left-hand panel contains the object type tree, which lists object types grouped first by class, then object type, and then by property. To expand down to a property for a class, click the plus sign next to the node name.
In the object type panel, locate and select the object type or types you want to edit. You might need to expand nodes on the object type tree to locate the specific type.
The editable fields for the selected object type appear in the right-hand panel.
Change the object type properties by editing them in the appropriate fields in the right-had panel.

Note: If you want to see all properties in the template, deselect Show only template settings |
Click OK.
The Template Settings dialog box closes.
