JFR Standard Template

The standard, client-side templates shipped with JFR are describes in Table: JRockit Flight Recorder Wizard Templates.

JRockit Flight Recorder Wizard Templates

Template Name	Description
Default	This template includes most available information. It omits some low-level JVM data, some costly memory system data, and exception stack traces.
Real Time	This template consumes the least overhead possible, therefore, it collects limited data. It will include the most important garbage collection and memory system information; however, some tabs will not contain any information.
Full	This template records every JVM-level event and thus provides the most data. Conversely, it also requires the most overhead. Note that other events will use default settings from the producer.

These templates contain default settings for JVM and J2SE events from the JRockit producer. They will not affect events from other producers. If you want to change any of those events, you must do so on the Advance dialog box of the Flight Recording Wizard.
