| Provider Location (URL) | Displays the URL of the provider you are creating, for example: http://webserver1.com:5000/portalTools/webClipping/providers/webClipping The Portal Administrator must supply this URL when registering the provider with an Oracle9iAS Portal instance. |

| Repository Target | Choose either 9iAS Infrastructure Database (if the Web Clipping Provider is deployed in an Oracle9iAS environment), or Other 9i Database. If you choose the 9iAS Infrastructure Database option, the PORTAL user schema in the infrastructure database associated with the iAS instance (where your Web Clipping provider is installed) will be used as the target for the Web Clipping Repository. When choosing the Oracle9iAS infrastructure database, the only other Repository Setting available is the Advanced Security Option. Otherwise, see the other field descriptions below for information on configuring the Repository Settings for an Oracle9i database. |
| Server Host | Enter the name of the server where the database hosting the Repository is installed. |
| Listener Port | Enter a port number on the server where the database hosting the Repository is installed, for example 1521. The port number is used to transmit data between the Listener and web browser. You must enter a port number. If you leave this field blank, no connection will be made. |
| SID | Enter the database SID. A SID is unique identifier for the database, for example orcl1, orcl2, etc. |
| Username | Enter the username for logging into for the database where the repository is installed. |
| Password | Enter the password for logging intoi for the database where the repository is installed. |
| Advanced Security Option | Click enable to enable the Oracle Advanced Security Option (ASO), disable to disable it. ASO ensures secure database connections by securing and encrypting the channel between itself (at the middle-tier) and the database that hosts the Web Clipping Repository. ASO is available only in the Oracle9i DB Enterprise Edition, or as an add-on option to the Standard Edition. After enabling ASO, restart the OC4J instance containing the Web Clipping provider to reset all the current connections to now use ASO. You should also restart OC4J if you disable ASO after it was previously enabled. |

Domain names are the part of a URL that contain the names of a business, or organization, or government agency, for example, oracle.com.
