Create/Edit URL Portlet: Name and Display Name

Use this page to create a name, display name, and description for a URL portlet. URL portlets display the contents of a Web page pointed to by a URL. In this build wizard, you'll need to provide the URL you want to display. For example, you can create a URL portlet that displays an external search engine or news service.

Name and Display Name

Field Description
Name

Enter a unique name for the portlet. The name will be used internally, for example by Oracle9iAS Portal when the portlet is added to a Portal page.

The name cannot include special characters or blank spaces.

Display Name Enter a display name for the portlet. The display name identifies the portlet in the Navigator and Oracle9iAS Portal repository.
Description Enter any information about the portlet that you think would be useful to other users. For example, a Portal Page Designer can view the description after the portlet has been added to a Portal page, and the page is displayed in edit mode.
