After you create a provider, you can confirm its location by entering its URL in a browser. This is useful, for example, if you want to ensure you are entering a valid URL when registering the provider with an Oracle9iAS Portal instance.
Ensure you are on Path: Providers in the mid-tier navigator. The navigator will display a list of providers and provider groups.
Scroll down to the provider you want to test.
In the Actions column next to the provider, click Edit.
Click the Provider URL Details tab. The URL is displayed in the Provider Location (URL) field.
To test the provider
Copy the your provider's URL into the Address field of your Web browser and press the Enter key. If the URL is valid, you will see the following message:
Congratulations! You have successfully reached your Provider's Test Page.
