Use this page to provide URL connection information for your provider. After a Portal Administrator registers the provider with an Oracle9iAS Portal instance, Portal will use the information on this page to communicate with the provider.

| Provider Location | Displays the URL of the provider you are creating, for example: http://webserver1.com:5000/portalTools/providers/provider1 The Portal Administrator must supply this URL when registering the provider with an Oracle9iAS Portal instance. |
| Timeout | Enter the number of seconds Oracle9iAS Portal should try to connect to the provider before displaying the Timeout Message. |
| Timeout Message | Enter the message that will display after the Timeout duration has been exceeded. If Oracle9iAS Portal cannot establish contact with the portlet provider within the number of seconds specified in the Timeout field, the Timeout Message will be displayed within the body of the portlet. For example, Timed out. Try connecting later. |
| Login Frequency | Determines how often a user needs to log in to access a portlet from the provider.

| HTTP Host | Enter the name of a proxy server if one is required to make a URL connection with the provider, for example, when Oracle9iAS Portal requests one of the provider's portlets. A proxy server provides access to content from servers outside a firewall. |
| HTTP Port | Enter the port number for the HTTP Host. If you specify an HTTP Host, but not a port, HTTP Port is set to default port number 80. |
