Use the Connect to Database dialog box to open a connection to a database server.
Username
The database user name for the connection. The database user must have the OLAP_USER role or the equivalent privileges.
Password
The user password.
Cube Type
You can choose the cube type when Oracle Database is set to 11.1 compatibility mode. If the database is set to 10.2 compatibility mode, then you can only develop Oracle 10g cubes.
OLAP 11g: Analytic Workspace Manager operates with the new features of Oracle Database 11g. You can create and edit analytic workspaces using the 11.1 metadata format.
OLAP 10g: Analytic Workspace Manager operates with the functionality of Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.3. You can create and edit analytic workspaces using the 10.2.0.3 metadata format.
