Data security roles create a group of users with the same access rights to the data stored in this analytic workspace. They are like database roles except that they apply only to OLAP data security.
Data Security Role Name
A descriptive name for this security role.
The table contains a row for each user or role added to the security role. The table has these columns:
User or Role : A user or role affected by this security role
Type: Identifies a user or a role.
Select: Grants or revokes the privilege of querying the object
Insert: Grants or revokes the privilege of adding dimension members
Update: Grants or revokes the privilege of changing the values of dimensions and cubes
Delete: Grants or revokes the privilege of deleting dimension members
Add Users or Roles
Displays the Add Users or Roles dialog box.
Remove User or Role
Deletes the selected row from the table.
