Connecting to a Database

After you have connected to a database, you can create, modify, and delete dimensional objects. You can have only one database connection open at a time.

To connect to a database:

1. Create a database connection if you have not done so already. In the navigation tree:

   1. Right-click the Databases folder, then choose Add Database to Tree from the pop-up menu.

   2. Complete the Add Database to Tree dialog box.

2. Click the plus icon (+) next to a database.

3. Complete the Connect to Database dialog box.

If you are already connected to a database, this operation automatically closes that connection.
