Maintenance Wizard: Data processing options

The data processing options enable you to control dimension and cube maintenance.

Initialize attribute values to NULL before loading data

Select this option when you want to load all new attribute values for existing dimension members.

This choice only affects attributes that are currently mapped.

Delete dimension values that are no longer in the source tables

Select this option when you want to remove old dimension members from the analytic workspace. When maintenance is complete, all dimension members in the analytic workspace will have corresponding values in the relational source.

Aggregate the cube for only the incoming data values

Select this option to speed processing when the new, incoming data does not invalidate the stored aggregates already present in the analytic workspace.

Aggregate the full cube

Select this option when incoming data may invalidate existing stored aggregates or when the aggregation rules for the cube have been changed.
