Calculation Wizard: Variance calculation

The Calculation Type page accepts input for the following items for a variance calculation:

Base Measure

Select the measure that you want to subtract from the target measure.

Target Measure

Select the measure that you want to use for comparison with the base measure.

This type of calculation applies to measures only.

The formula for this calculation is:

Base-Target

This formula is used to calculate the variance between a base measure and a target for that measure.

An example of this calculation is:
