Layer Menu

Add Layer: Adds a layer to the display area. Displays the Add Layer box, in which you specify the area.

Edit Layer: Edits the layer in the display area. Displays the Edit Layer box.

Draw All Geometries in Viewport: Draws all the geometries in the current viewport without executing a window query. Note: This operation can take a long time.

Draw Geometries in Layer: Draws some or all the geometries in the current layer. Displays the Draw Geometries in Layer box.

Remove Layer: Removes a specified layer from the layer choice box and from the display area. Displays the Remove Layer box.

Remove All Layers: Erases the entire display area, removes all layers from the layer choice box, and sets the current layer to none.

Remove Query: Removes a specified query as a layer attribute and from the display area. Displays the Remove Query box.

Query: Allows you to query using a specified region.

• Rectangle: A rectangle that you specify (clicking and dragging with the mouse). You then specify the query in the displayed Query (object-type) box.

• Circle: A circle that you specify (clicking and dragging with the mouse). You then specify the query in the displayed Query (object-type) box.

• Polygon: A polygon that you specify by clicking on the first vertex, then clicking on each subsequent vertex in sequence except for the last, and then double-clicking on the last vertex (not the first vertex) to complete the polygon. You then specify the query in the displayed Query (object-type) box.

• Point: A point that you specify (clicking with the mouse). You then specify the query in the displayed Query (object-type) box.

• Geometry: A geometry that you specify (along with the query) in the displayed Query Geometry box.
