Opening OLAP Worksheet

OLAP Worksheet provides an environment for executing OLAP DML commands, writing OLAP DML programs, and viewing the data stored in workspace objects. The Help menu in OLAP Worksheet provides access to the OLAP DML Reference, the primary documentation for OLAP DML commands.

To open the OLAP Worksheet window, choose OLAP Worksheet from the Tools menu.

Your session in OLAP Worksheet shares the connection that has already been established by Analytic Workspace Manager. The shared connection may affect your work if you alternate between Analytic Workspace Manager and OLAP Worksheet:

Any workspace that you attach or detach in Analytic Workspace Manager is also attached or detached in OLAP Worksheet, and the converse.
Analytic Workspace Manager may change the current environment of your session, such as the active analytic workspace (that is, the attach order) and the status of the NAME dimension.
Analytic Workspace Manager may change some OLAP DML options from their default values.
You cannot manually alter objects that were created using Analytic Workspace Manager or the OLAP API.
