You can use object security to grant or revoke privileges on dimensions and cubes. The privileges are applied to the entire object, that is, all of the members of a dimension or all of the data values in a cube. This type of security is implemented using OLAP object security.
In the navigation tree, right-click the analytic workspace and select Set Analytic Workspace Object Security.
The Set Analytic Workspace Object Security dialog box is displayed.
Complete the dialog box, then click OK.
To grant privileges on an analytic workspace, right-click the analytic workspace and select Set Analytic Workspace Object Security.
To grant privileges on a cube, right-click the cube and select Set Cube Object Security.
To grant privileges on a dimension, right-click the dimension and select Set Dimension Object Security.
Complete the dialog box, then click OK.
Click Help for specific information about the choices.
In the navigation tree, right-click the analytic workspace and select Set Analytic Workspace Object Security.
Revoke privileges on the analytic workspace by moving them from Selected Privileges to Available Privileges.
In the navigation tree, right-click the dimension or cube and select either Set Dimension Object Security or Set Cube Object Security.
Revoke privileges on the object by moving them from Selected Privileges to Available Privileges.
