An analytic workspace is a container for storing related dimensional objects. You can define dimensions and cubes and map them to tables and views in your database. During maintenance or automatic refresh, the mapped data is loaded into these objects.
To create an analytic workspace:
In the navigation tree, expand the folder for your schema.
Right-click the Analytic Workspaces folder, then choose Create Analytic Workspace from the pop-up menu.
Complete the Create Analytic Workspace dialog box, then choose Create.
The new analytic workspace appears in the Analytic Workspaces folder for the schema.
