You can change many of the characteristics of an object after creating it. However, you cannot change all of them. Some changes require you to delete and re-create the object.
You cannot change any properties when the dimension or cube is enabled as a materialized view. To change a property, clear the Enable Materialized View box on the Materialized Views tab. When you are done making changes, re-enable the object as a materialized view.
To change an object:
In the navigation tree, select the object in the appropriate folder. Its property sheets are displayed in the right pane.
Make the desired changes on all tabs.
Click Apply. The changes are immediately committed to the database.
