Caching improves runtime performance in sessions that repeatedly access the same data, which is typical in data analysis. Caching temporarily saves calculated values in a session so they can be accessed repeatedly without being recalculated each time.
Note: You cannot change this setting after creating the measure.
Cache runtime aggregations using session cache
Select this option when the analytic workspace will not be used for what-if analysis. In this type of analysis, users change the values of cells so that cached aggregates are inconsistent with the new values.
Do not cache runtime aggregations
Select this option only when the analytic workspace will support a custom OracleBI Beans application that provides what-if analysis.
