This page shows you the status of each phase of adding the selected cluster nodes to the installation. The phases include:
Instantiate root scripts. For UNIX only. OUI populates
the rootAddNode.sh script with variable values.
Copy Oracle home to new nodes. The Oracle home for the
installation on the local node is copied to the cluster node, unless you
use the -noCopy flag.
Run root.sh. For UNIX only. During this phase, you will
be prompted to run the root.sh script as root
in the cluster node that you are adding. When adding a node to a clusterware
installation, in addition to root.sh, you will be prompted
to run the rootAddNode.sh script as root on the
local node.
Save cluster inventory. The Oracle home is attached to the new node and the node list is updated in the inventory for all participating nodes.
The log for this session, addNodeActionstime_stamp.log,
can be found in the /oraInventory_location/logs directory.
