Oracle ADF Business Components (formerly BC4J) is JDeveloper's J2EE-compliant technology for developing business services for an MVC application. Although you do not need to use Oracle ADF Business Components to develop business services in JDeveloper (you can also use EJB, TopLink POJO, or your own implementation), Oracle ADF Business Components makes it easy to create highly performant, scalable, portable, and reusable business services with a minimum of coding.
