Roles
Use to view a list of existing roles in a project. More
Also use to create, modify, and delete roles. To add a new role, click
. To remove a role, select the role in the list and click
. If the role has usages in the process, the deletion is not executed. To edit a role name, select the role and click
.
User tasks require you to define roles before you can add them to a process model. A role is a title or job function performed by participants in the project. For example, a role could be Supervisor or Finance Administrator. You can create roles to define who is responsible for performing the activities and tasks within your process. How?
Name
Shows the names of existing roles in the project.
Share
Select to share the role.
When you select a role in the list, details about that role appear below the list.
Role Escalation
Specify an escalation path for the role. Select User, Group or Application Role from the dropdown list. Enter the user, group or application role in the field or click
to use the Identity Lookup dialog to search for one.
Members
Use to add users, groups, or application roles as participants with this role.
Each member is identified by a name and a type. To delete a member from the role, select the member name and click
.
Type
Select whether you are adding a user, a group, or an application role. Then click
to add a member of the selected type.
If you have selected the user or group type, click
to use the Identity Lookup dialog to search for a member of the selected type. If you have selected the application role type, click
to use the Select an Application Role dialog.
Calendar Rules
Use to associate calendar rules with this role.
Each calendar rule is identified by a calendar name and an organizational unit. Click
to add a rule.
Select a calendar name to edit or delete the rule by clicking the appropriate icon.
