Use to view a list of holiday rules defined in the project. Each holiday rule is identified by a holiday rule name. More

Also use to create, modify, and delete holiday rules. To add a new holiday rule, click the add icon to use a dialog to enter a name for the holiday rule. To remove a holiday rule, select the holiday rule name in the list and click the delete icon. To modify the details of a holiday rule, select the holiday rule name.

Holidays rules define the non-working days for a calendar rule. They affect the available work days for participants and the scheduling of activity deadlines.

You can create as many holiday rules as needed for different calendar rules. How?

Holidays
Shows a list of the names of existing holiday rules in the project.

Additional holiday rule information

When you select a holiday rule in the list, details of the holiday rule appear below the list.

Name
Shows the name of the selected holiday rule. Type to change the name.

Holidays are included in this holiday rule
Shows a list of holidays associated with the selected holiday rule.

To define a new holiday for a holiday rule, click the add icon to use a dialog to create one. To remove a holiday from a holiday rule, select the descriptive name in the list and click the delete icon. To edit the details of a holiday, select the descriptive name and click the edit icon.

Description
Shows the descriptive name of a holiday defined for the selected holiday rule.

Type
Shows whether the holiday is fixed or common. Fixed holidays occur on the same date every year (for example, New Year's Day is always January 1); common holidays are holidays that do not occur on the same date every year (for example, Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. is the last Thursday in the month of November, so the date could be November 22 one year and November 24 the followingn year).

Date
Shows the date on which the holiday falls.
