Last Updated: May 13, 2009 The OpenDocument format (ODF) is an XML based, ISO standardized file format for electronic office documents such as spreadsheets, charts, presentations and word processing documents. The new opensource library ODFDOM is a free Java 5 framework sponsored by Sun Microsystems Inc. to easily create and manipulate such ODF documents. This workshop will give the opportunity to get in touch with this exciting new API and the possibility to talk with their architects. Aside of the exercises, insights about further future goals of ODFDOM and its language independence are topic of this workshop.
