5 Troubleshooting

This section describes problems that might arise when running Oracle Application Server Repository Creation Assistant, and how to resolve them.

5.1 Oracle Application Server Repository Creation Assistant Loses Connection to Database (Error Code ORA-03113)

This message appears if you did not run the catpatch.sql script when applying the 9.0.1.5 or 9.2.0.4 database patch set.

To fix this problem, exit Oracle Application Server Repository Creation Assistant and run the catpatch.sql script on the database.

5.2 Harmless Error Messages in Log File

When you load the OracleAS Metadata Repository into a 9.0.1.5 database, you might see the following lines in the log file. These error messages are harmless.

Getting PreRequisiteInfo Informations from the PreRequisite file:

Returned database version is higher than the expected version
ERROR-DBPostreq SQL exception:ORA-00904: invalid column name

Returned database version is higher than the expected version
DB Pre-requisite validation completed.

DatabasePrerequisite Passed.
