This appendix provides instructions to determine the current drive firmware version, and download firmware from MyOracleSupport.com.
Login to the SL150 remote interface.
Click Drives in the navigation area on the left side of the screen.
Highlight the specific tape drive.
Click the Actions control and select Properties.
Locate the firmware version in the Drive Properties dialog box (see Figure B-1).
Click Close.
Change the drive firmware version, if applicable.

Note: The drive firmware levels at initial release were:

Use a web browser and connect to https://support.oracle.com.
Click Register to create an account, if applicable.
Sign in.
Click the Patches & Updates tab.
Click the Product or Family (Advanced) link in the Search tab.
Use the Product control to select the proper tape drive value (see Figure B-2).
Click Search.
Click the applicable Patch Name link.
Open the Read Me file to make sure the firmware version applies to your library drive.

Note: Do not download the firmware file intended for half-height, stand-alone drives used in the 1U media tray. |
Click the Download button.
Sign out of MOS.
Follow the instructions in the Read Me file to install the firmware on your tape drive.

Note: Load firmware through the drive interface port using the HP Library and Tape Tools (LTT) utility or the SCSI write buffer download. Use of a firmware update (FUP) tape is not supported. |
