Text Wrapping
Applications: All applications
Focus Area: Single- and multi-select windows
Data presented in a multi or single select control will wrap the data so that the full content of an entry is visible in the window. Please note: if a single entry is larger than the screen and the entry does not contain a space then text wrapping will not occur.
The Basics
In this example an NPD brand displays the functionality and limitations of text wrapping.

Figure 1. Example of text wrapping
The brand’s full name is “zz - 01234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789”. The numeric portion of the name has no spaces. Therefore the field wraps after the dash, but does not wrap the numeric portion of the name.
In addition, highlighting has been added to assist in differentiating the lines.
