Running Additional Synchronization Sessions

You want to synchronize your records whenever you update, add, or delete contacts, tasks, or appointments. To do so, you need to be connected to the Internet, but you do not need to be signed in to Oracle CRM On Demand.

CAUTION: If you change your time zone (for example, if you set your computer clock to the time zone in another region while you are traveling), close Oracle PIM Sync On Demand (the PIM Sync client), and then reopen it. Closing and reopening the PIM Sync client allows the application to synchronize accurately the times that you set for your tasks and appointments.

Before you begin. Connect to the Internet.

To run additional synchronization sessions

  1. From the Start menu, select Oracle CRM On Demand, Oracle PIM Sync On Demand, and then Oracle PIM Sync On Demand.
  2. In the Oracle PIM Sync On Demand window, click Sync Now to synchronize the configured record types and applications.

    The Sync Now button is disabled until a configuration is created.

  3. Click the Close button.

    When the synchronization is finished, a confirmation box appears for each record type, listing the changes to each record type. You can review and accept the changes, or cancel the synchronization.
