Reviewing the Synchronization Results
When the synchronization is finished, you are prompted to confirm the results. You can also review the latest results by opening the log files when the synchronization is complete:
- One log file records errors, warnings, and high-level changes to Oracle CRM On Demand. This file is on the server and accessible through Oracle CRM On Demand.
- The other log files track the changes made to Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes on a detailed level. These files are saved to your computer.
The log files are overwritten each time a synchronization session is run, therefore they contain only data about the most current synchronization.
To review the synchronization results for Oracle CRM On Demand
- Sign in to Oracle CRM On Demand.
- Click the My Setup link at the top of any page.
- On the Personal Homepage, click the Data & Integration Tools link.
- On the Data & Integration Tools page, click the Oracle PIM Sync On Demand link.
- On the Oracle PIM Sync On Demand page, click the View Sync Log link.
- Save the file or open it directly.
The default filename is pim_sync_log.txt.
The following procedure describes how to review the synchronization results for Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes.
To review the synchronization results for Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes
- On your computer, open the following files:
- PTrace.log: C:\Documents and Settings\<Window User>\Application Data\Siebel PIM Sync On Demand\Configurations
- PushSyncStatus.log: C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows User>\Application Data\Siebel PIM Sync On Demand\Configurations
- Individual Sync Logs: C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows user>\Application Data\Siebel PIM Sync OnDemand\Configurations\Conf_Intellisync XML_<Oracle CRM On Demand LOGIN ID>
- pim_sync_log_Appointments.log
- pim_sync_log_Contacts.log
- pim_sync_log_ToDo’s.log
