Installing and Uninstalling Oracle PIM Sync On Demand
To synchronize information between Oracle PIM Sync On Demand and a supported PIM application, you must install Oracle PIM Sync On Demand. This topic describes how to install and uninstall Oracle PIM Sync On Demand (the PIM Sync client).
NOTE: To install and run the PIM Sync client, ensure that you have administrator rights to install software on your computer. Installing Oracle PIM Sync On Demand remotely is not currently supported or certified by Oracle.
To install Oracle PIM Sync On Demand
- Sign in to Oracle CRM On Demand.
- Click the My Setup link at the top of any page.
- On the Personal Homepage, click the Data & Integration Tools link.
- On the Data & Integration Tools page, click the Oracle PIM Sync On Demand link.
- On the Oracle PIM Sync On Demand page, read the information, and click Download Oracle PIM Sync On Demand.
- On the second Oracle PIM Sync On Demand page, read the additional information, and click Download Oracle PIM Sync On Demand.
- In the window, you can do one of the following:
- Click Save to copy the file to your hard drive, which allows you to complete the installation later while you are offline. (Recommended).
- Click Open to begin the installation. You must stay connected to the Internet to continue with the installation.
- Extract the ZIP files.
- Open the folder where you extracted the ZIP files, and click Setup.exe to start the Installation Wizard.
- Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
NOTE: If you already have a version of Oracle PIM Sync On Demand installed on your computer, you must uninstall the previous version before installing a new one.
To uninstall Oracle PIM Sync On Demand
- From the Start menu, select All Programs, Oracle CRM On Demand, Oracle PIM Sync On Demand Uninstall.
