Defining when Synchronization Sessions Occur
You can specify that Oracle CRM On Demand performs synchronization sessions either automatically, or manually; that is, only when you click Sync.
To run automatic synchronization sessions
- From the Start menu, select Oracle CRM On Demand, then Oracle PIM Sync On Demand.
- In the Oracle PIM Sync On Demand window, click Setup.
- Click Applications Setup.
- In the Oracle PIM Sync On Demand Setup window, click Settings.
- In the Settings window, click Advanced.
- In the Advanced window, select the When to Sync tab.
- Use the following information to complete your synchronization requirements:
- Synchronize times by minutes. Select Every, and use the up and down arrows to select the time intervals. You can also manually type the required time intervals in the time fields. The default setting for this option is: Every 30 minutes.
- Synchronize times by day. Select Every using the up and down arrows to specify the day, weekday, weekend day, week, and month. Select the up and down arrows to specify the time to synchronize for the interval.
- Click OK.
NOTE: Some PIM applications require a user name and password. If a user name and password are not provided automatically, synchronization cannot run automatically.
