Activities That Generate Suspense Records

Transactions can be configured in the Rules Palette to automatically generate suspense records when they are processed as activities in OIPA.  When this type of activity is processed, the Suspense information is automatically added to the Activity Detail screen.  A suspense record is created and the suspense number is displayed in the Suspense tab of the Activity Detail screen.  The image below shows an example of an activity with automatically generated suspense information.

When an activity is added that requires suspense and that activity is not configured to automatically add suspense, the user needs to enter the suspense information manually.  If the information is not added, an error message will appear, as shown in the image below.  Click the Suspense tab in the Activity window and add the suspense information.  The activity can then be added to the Activity screen and processed.
