The process for editing a policy is defined according to configuration. Two examples of how a policy may be edited are defined below.
Once a policy is active, all activities associated with the policy must be reversed. Then policy details can be updated from the Policy screen. When the updates are complete, re-apply the activities to the policy.
Term policies have an activity already configured in the term product template called EditPolicy. Processing this activity will allow a user to update the effective date, issue date and application signed date. Follow the steps below to apply the EditPolicy activity to an active term policy.
Open a term policy.
Click Add Activity on the Secondary menu.
Select EditPolicy from the drop down box.
Enter the new dates in the appropriate date field and select OK.
Click Activities on the Left Navigation menu. The EditPolicy activity will be listed on the Activities screen.
Click the lightning bolt icon next to the activity. The changes will be applied to the policy.
