Quote Option

The Quote button allows a user to execute an activity virtually to see the outcome of the activity without having to process it.  When Quote is clicked, the Activity Details window will display and the user can click the links at the top of the screen to see the results of each aspect of the activity before it is actually processed.

 

Use the Rules Palette to identify activities that have the quote option.  If an activity is not configured to support quoting, then the Quote button will not be visible.

Steps to Process an Activity Virtually Using the Quote Button

  1. Open the policy.

  2. Click the Activities link to open the Activities screen.

  3. Click Add Activity on the Secondary menu.

  4. Select the activity from the Activity drop down box.  The Quote button should appear at the bottom of the screen next to OK and Cancel.

  5. Enter the activity details and click Quote.

  1. Click the links at the top of the Results window to view the virtual results then close the window when finished.

  2. Click OK to save the activity or click Cancel.

 

Note:  The OK button will save the new activity and it will be listed on the Activity screen in pending status.  The Quote button will execute it virtually.  After the virtual execution is complete and the Results window is closed, click OK to add the activity to the Activity screen.  It will be listed in pending status.
