This book is organized as follows:
Chapter 1, Trusted Solaris 8 on a Sun Enterprise 10000 provides general information on using Trusted Solaris 8 on the Sun EnterpriseTM 10000. It describes supported software configurations, differences between Solaris and Trusted Solaris features, and offers two illustrations of supported configurations.
Chapter 2, Using Trusted Solaris Procedures describes Trusted Solaris procedures that are common to several chapters.
Chapter 3, Preparing for SSP 3.3 Installation describes how to prepare a disk that will become the Trusted Solaris SSP (System Service Processor), the disk that monitors and controls a Sun Enterprise 10000 system. This chapter replaces the procedures in the Sun Enterprise 10000 SSP 3.3 Installation Guide and Release Notes, 806-2886-10. Note that you must have a copy of Trusted Solaris Installation and Configuration Guide to complete this chapter.
Chapter 4, Installing and Configuring the Trusted Solaris SSP 3.3 describes how to install and configure Trusted Solaris SSP 3.3 on an SSP running the Trusted Solaris operating environment. This chapter replaces the procedures in the Sun Enterprise 10000 SSP 3.3 Installation Guide and Release Notes, 806-2886-10.
Chapter 5, Trusted Solaris 8 on an E10000 Domain describes how to install and configure the Trusted Solaris 8 operating environment on a Sun Enterprise 10000 domain. This chapter replaces the procedures in “Installing the Operating Environment on the Sun Enterprise 10000 Server” in Solaris 8 6/00 Sun Hardware Platform Guide.
Chapter 6, Solaris 8 on an E10000 Domain with a Trusted Solaris SSP describes how to install and configure a Solaris 8 environment on a Sun Enterprise 10000 domain controlled by a Trusted Solaris 8 SSP.
Chapter 7, Trusted Solaris Alternate Pathing 2.3 on an E10000 Domain describes how to install Trusted Solaris Alternate Pathing 2.3 on a Sun Enterprise 10000 domain running the Trusted Solaris 8 operating environment. This chapter replaces the procedures in “Alternate Pathing 2.3 on the Sun Enterprise Server” in Solaris 8 6/00 Sun Hardware Platform Guide.
