Policy Cancellation Request

Policy Cancellation Request is used when the insured wants to cancel the policy. This activity is added to a policy from the Add Activity link on the Secondary menu. Once the activity is processed, it spawns the Billing Stop/Bank Draft Stop activity and the Policy Cancellation activity.  

 

Policy Cancellation is spawned from the Policy Cancellation Request activity. This is a system generated activity that cancels the policy and changes the policy status to canceled.

 

Steps to Add Policy Cancellation Request Activity

  1. Open a term policy and select Add Activity from the Secondary menu.  
  2. Select Policy Cancellation Request from the activity drop down box.
  3. Enter the Paid to Date and select OK. The activity will be listed on the Activity screen.
  4. Click the lightning bolt icon to process the policy.   The policy status will change to Canceled.
