If an individual does not meet health or other qualifications, insurance can be rated. The flat extra premium method of rating the life insurance policy charges an extra flat dollar amount per $1,000 of policy value.
Add a flat extra segment to a policy by selecting Add Segments on the Secondary menu.
Note: A Base Coverage segment must already exist on the policy before flat extra can be added.
Duration in Years: Enter the number of years to apply the flat extra.
Flat Extra Amount: Enter the amount to apply as the flat extra. This is a flat dollar amount per $1,000 of policy value.
If the Flat Extra is permanent, then check the box next to the Permanent Flat Extra option.
