Oracle® Rules Palette Release 9.1.0.0.0 E15811-01 |
You can save your configuration changes without actually checking-in
the rule. Use the Save
button to save the configuration changes
in the file you are currently working with or use the Save All
button to save changes made in all open files.
The changes are saved locally to your machine,
but not written to the database. If your configuration
is complex and takes several days to complete, then this is a useful option,
as you can save and log-off the system without checking-in the rule. Remember
you must come back to the same machine you were configuring from since
the Save and Save All buttons only save changes locally.
Other users may view the rule that you have checked-out, but they will only see the configuration that is stored in the database. They will not see any configuration changes that you saved locally.
Save All saves all of the rules that are open and validation errors will be presented for each of the open rules.
When you are ready to save the changes to the database, you need to Check-in the file you are working with. Checking-in a file saves the changes to the database.
