Oracle® Rules Palette Release 9.1.0.0.0 E15811-01 |
The Fields pane is used to create fields that will display on the application. Drag and drop fields from the DataDictionary or use the SearchPalette window to add new fields. The DataDictionary can also be used to search for existing fields that you may want to use. If you need to create a new field, you can use the Palette as it contains all the available fields for screen configuration.

After you drag and drop a field onto the screen in the Configuration Area, you will configure the fields properties via the FieldProperties window. In this window, you can edit the field’s properties using text boxes, drop-down boxes and check-boxes, which have all available options that can be populated with the appropriate information.
Note: You can also use the hot keys CTRL-C (Copy), CTRL-V (Paste), CTRL-Z (Undo), and CTRL-X (Cut) in place of dragging and dropping fields in the Fields pane.
If you do not want to configure the Fields section through the Fields pane, you can add an entire field section from a CopyBook. You will need to expand the CopyBook section on the Fields pane and then follow the steps listed below.
